Michael ("MyOrgan") and his sweet wife were visiting relatives
in the southern US and "only" 350 or so miles away, so they
popped over to go to church with us this morning and then took my wife
and me out to lunch! We sat and talked until after 3:00 p.m. and had a
wonderful time.
Sorry to be so long to respond, but I got the
first internet connection today in Buffalo, New York, toward the end of
our trip.
Ditto on what you said, John!!! The visit
was well worth the 900+ mile round-trip. It was the least we
could do after all you've done for us, our organs, and others on the
Forum.
John, you sell yourself and your abilities short. I
do envy your voicing skills with your Allen at church. I wish I
knew someone who could play my organ so I could listen to it and hear
what it sounds like.
It was also great to meet John's better half
(his wife). The visit helped my wife commiserate with someone who
also truly understands what it's like to live with one who collects
organs--there's always one better or bigger out there. Of
course, it doesn't make it any easier to live with me, but at least my
wife understands she's not alone in the world anymore!
John, thanks for all you do for this Forum. Meeting you was truly an experience I'd recommend to anyone!
