looking to buy organ for a young student

Looking to buy an Allen or Rodgers for home practice. The family is not rich, but they could spend up to a $1000.00. If within approximately 150 miles of NY city we can provide transport.

We're technically oriented and could deal with some defects.

    John,

Welcome to the Forum.  Some great deals are showing up on eBay and CraigsList recently for right around the target price.  Check the Classic Electronic Organs on eBay thread, and the CraigsList Organs thread for occasional updates.

Unfortunately, many of the CraigsList links expire less than a week or two after they are posted--that's the nature of the list.  At least the eBay postings are held for the duration of the sale plus a few days (but are unsearchable after the posting closes).

Hope this helps get a good organ into the hands of an organ student.

    Michael

I have a Lowrey MX-2, probably not what you are looking for.  All the bells and whistles, 1992.  Superb sound.  Perfect working order.
