B3 no longer talking to Leslie

help pls...had a short (shielding rotted on power wires) down at the base of the B3 where the power cable and the leslie connect...sparked and smoked.. I've since rewrapped the wires however I assume something has blown up the line as there no longer is anything getting to the leslie itself.. (leslie cable and leslie are confirmed as good).

what might I have blown with the dead short?

    many thanks.

Can you confirm that the organ is putting out audio?  Check at the G-G terminals with a pair of headphones and alligator clips.  What kind of Leslie is the organ driving?

Needless to say it would probably be a good idea to just replace all the wiring going to the outlet box, including the AC input zip cord going from the AC connector to the terminal panel on the generator.

Any wire that's had its insulation crack will do it again.  This wire must be discarded and replaced.  Since you have to mess around in there, this would be a good excuse to replace the AC inlet with a three prong so you can add an AC safety ground.

I'd look at the organ-Leslie interface (if applicable) to see what might be gone in there.

A short from AC to one of the G terminals could take out the preamp's output transformer, and possibly V3, R42, C26, and maybe a bit of the power supply - I don't think it would get anything beyond that, and likely just the transformer.

In the Leslie it would depend on the model (you did not mention which you have), but the input stage could have some problems.
