Have you seen the new TV commercial for the Acura automobile?  It is pretty cool.  It shows a pipe organ being tuned and then the punch line is something like "Acura TL, retuned to perfection."  The views of the organ are so brief that many viewers may not know what they are looking at or what is going on.  Still a fun commercial for those of us in the know.

The organ looks like it may be a Casavant; but again, the views are so fleeting it is hard to put my finger on it?

It's always exciting when you see one of your (obscure) interests, being showcased for the sight of mere mortals. ; )

 

What surprises me about the analogy is, besides being able to identify the organ in such a short time, I'm not sure that the average spectator even realizes that pipe organs are tuned.

how did you figure that out? If I had seen the expression pedals I could have told anyone it was a cassavant, but to do so without seeing anything but the manuals and the pipes?
