Ha! Thanks for the response ShadyJoe. I see how ridiculous my question seems. I wouldn't actually consider holding a test lead in my fingers while shorting it to the scanner screws, so I'm not sure why I would have worded my question that way. Careless posting, excuse me. (Got some responses tho!)
I'll try again: In the past I've drained caps in ...

Well, thanks to The Admiral, I got the connection figured out for my Leslie 25 to the 26-1 kit to my M-3. However, I am getting no sound from the Leslie. This is the M-3 with 4 wires to the speaker, not 2. I have a voltmeter, just don't know what I should check first. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. ...

O.K. I did my homework. The 26-1 kit is fine for the M-3 and Leslie 25. The only issue I have is that the cable going from the 26-1 to the organ is the wrong one. I need a big 5 pin female to small 5 pin male to go to the organs amplifier. (With power) Does anyone know where I can get one without ...

Hey guys. I recently picked up a Leslie 25 with a 30 ft speaker cable, CONSOLE CABLE (the problem), half moon switches, and 26-1 interface for 175 bux. Pretty good deal... However, the cable that is supposed to connect to the 'Console' has 5 pins on one side (for the interface) and 6 (BIG)pins on the other side which is male on ...

Greetings all. Please help me out on this if you are in the know.......
I've got an M3 with a field coil speaker and I am looking to connect a Leslie speaker to it, but it has no output for one, and one of those dedicated connector kits seem to cost more than all the other stuff put together.
But maybe it's not too difficult to rig ...

Just recently acquired another M-3. This one has the reverb amp and spring reverb. nice... Problem is, it tries to start for like 1 second then nothing... The amp turns on and you can hear crackling noises, but the tonewheel generator does not start.

Hi everybody,
I have read a lot on this site before deciding to join the club but I still need HELP.
A church gave me a M3. Before working on the wood, I wanted to see if the organ was working. It didn't start and I started to read on your forum. I've changed the power chord and the start motor began to spin, but slow. Oil was the problem. ...

I found it and bought it today. A very, very clean M3 serial # 80541 (1956). Naturally, there were a few dead frequencies, but the tone generator motors run flawlessly, almost completely silent start up and everything...
Onto the situation, I have 3 dead frequencies: 58, 63 and 89. 58 and 89 are simple fixes, just need to snag a new soldering ...

i have a 63 M3 that has tube V10 unlit, but it still works, considering i only know about tubes from WW2 lituture and my musical parents, why is this tube not lit but i still get sound? the volume is good, but not what i would call wall viberating. according to what info i have, V10 has something to do with the volume on the amp, is this correct? ...

Hi - I'm new around here. Any insight or advice is appreciated. I contacted a local seller about an M3 on craigslist. Here's an excerpt from his ad:
''Comes on but no sound. Keys make a clicking sound through speaker when
played. Probably needs a power or preamp tube. Great condition
otherwise.''
It's been offered to ...
