As many of you have noticed, the Forum has been quite sluggish lately. I've been working with our ISP to fix the problem. In doing so, they determined that due to the size of the database, it would be necessary to move it to a different server. That migration happened just after midnight on June 4th. Unfortunately, all did not go according to plan resulting in the Forum being off-line the entire day.
Although we're back online, there remain some minor issues that you may notice with the formatting of certain text characters. For example, "smart quotes" used by Apple and other platforms are not displaying correctly. Emoji's also appear to be broken. A cause of these problems has been identified, but a safe fix has not been at this time. By safe fix, I mean one that will not result in residual or even greater corruption of the data.
As developing and applying a fix could be a lengthy process, I've decided to put the Forum back online in its current state. Please know that we are working to get things back to normal. In the meantime, your patience is appreciated.
The good news is, you should notice an improvement in the Forum's response time as a result of this change.
