Do you know any funny organists? I'm thinking Victor Borge style humor. The other post on PDQ Bach got me thinking on this line. I'm not aware of too many. Hector Olivera certainly plays with some tongue in cheek. Virgil doesn't really fall into this, does he? Maybe our theater organ folk can name some.</P>

Anyone remember Fr. Jim Miller? He was playing something I think called "The Bird Waltz" at Shea's Buffalo, and the bird whistle quit on him. He stopped long enough to comment that "Someone must have shot the bird", and then proceeded to hit the locomotive whistle!!! He had quite a few other good jokes too, although it's harder to remember nearly 20 years back. Didn't Stan Kann have a comedy routine? Never got to see him, but heard good things.Comment
