• OHS Convention 2010 - Pittsburgh

The website is now up for the OHS Convention in Pittsburgh next year.

Still lacking details, but there is a line-up of the instruments and performers, along with Hotel information. They keep adding bits and pieces to the site, from time to time.

I'm planning to attend - it will be my first.

Re: OHS Convention 2010 - Pittsburgh

I know for certain that a few of us from the forum here attended the convention in Cleveland (although I commuted from my home half an hour away, each day, I'm not doing that again) and had a blast, there are so many, many reasons to attend an OHS convention, hymns are sung in four part harmony at the sacred venues (unless the hymn chosen is marked unison...in which case it is sung unison), you get to hear fabulous musicians, and then there's the back of the bus, which I know Trevor and John can attest is an unusual group. OHS conventions are a great deal of fun, exhausting and thoroughly enjoyable.

You'll have a blast if you do go.

I'll be there...I very highly recommend OHS conventions! A great way of sampling every significant pipe organ in an area with a great group of folks!

I'll be there too, thanks to the great kindness of the OHS in awarding me an E. Power Biggs Fellowship!! I can't wait to meet a bunch of great people and hear the wonderful instruments that are in store.

I'm not, I know that doesn't answer your question, John. I would go, but I'm too broke to afford it even at the discounted price for folks under 30 (or whatever the cut off age for the discount is).

Austin, if I fly through Cleveland you can stow away in my suitcase. Honestly there is no way I would have been able to afford it either without the EPB fellowship.
