  • Wilbur Snapp--Only Organist Ejected From A Game!

Who can forget the story about the late organist Wilbur Snapp who, in 1985, was "ejected" from a minor league baseball game at Jack Russell Stadium in Clearwater, Florida? Snapp began playing "Three Blind Mice" after the umpire made a call that Snapp disagreed with. The ump was not amused. Too funny.

I knew a Wilbur Snapp about 40 years ago. He was the owner of Snapp's Organ Studio, the Hammond Organ dealer, in Springfield, Ohio. He was a short, heavy-set man and had personality coming out everywhere. He sold me my Hammond in 1967. Wilbur finally sold his business to Kincaid's Is Music (a successor to the Bradley Kincaid Music Store). I'm wondering if the Wilbur Snapp in your story is the same one I knew.
