    Poor mans Leslie

    Hello Guys,

What is your oppinions on mikeing in front of Hammond Concorde and sending to a Peavey KB-300 keyboard amp for added power etc. and getting sound away from console? The mike is placed about 3 feet from front of cabinet picking up rotating and stationary speakers.

    Alden,
If you have 2 mic's and two amps to use (or two channels or a stereo), you might get a nicer effect by close mic'ing both speakers. Not sure if you (the player) would block out some of the sound on your original idea. Stereo always gives a richer sound.
