Hi all,

I attended an organ concert by Samuel Metzger who is Senior Organist at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. The conert was in Covington, GA at the First Presbytrerian Church. The organ is a two manual Wicks. (Sorry, I don't have the specifications.)

The program was as follows:

Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by J. S. Bach
Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by J. S. Bach, transcription by Samuel Metzger
Vivace from Sonata VI by J. S. Bach
Amazing Grace arr. by Frederick Swann
Great Is Thy Faithfulness arr. by Dan Miller
Jig for the feet by William Albright
Scherzo from Symphony No. 2 by Louis Vierne
Carillon de Westminster by Louis Vierne

(Intermission)

Toccata in e minor by Joseph Callaerts
Finlandia, op. 26 by Jean Sibelius
Prelude on "Londonerry Air" arr. by Noel Rawsthorne
Toccata from Symphonie Concertante by Joesph Jongen, transcription by Samuel Metzger

[This piece was performed on organ and two pianos. The pianists were identical twins Becky Ramsey and Alice Walker, both of Covington. Mr. Metzger transcribed this piece specifically for this conert. Ms. Walker is the organist at the First Presbyterian Church, Covington and Ms. Ramsey is the organist at the First United Methodist Church, Covington.]

The encore was "How Great Thou Art." I do not know the arranger.

Later,
Allen
