  • Pneumatic delivery systems

I’ve been researching pneumatic tubes because of intrigue recently and I thought some people might also be interested in as feel that it’s something that relates to the organ.

The video in the link is of a short history of pneumatic tubes that aired on a BBC program.

Thanks for the comments. I’m aware that it had been used in a drive- thru but I’ve never thought that there would be cafes and restraints that would have these systems installed.
To me what one of the things that I find impressive about the Pneumatic tube system is seeing photos of some of the old work stations for the system.

They used to be commonplace in tall buildings too, not sure if that's still true.

Someone even thought about using one as a subway system under the English Channel.

They used to be the common place in large cities and someone came up with a relay thing that read the incoming capsule that the information decoded on the surface and it reconfigured the entire set up in the distribution centers to send out to the destination, sorta like a primitive network.
