400 Mile Drive = Mass-Rowe Vibrachime! Anyone have a schematic?
I did some searching but couldn't find a schematic. A couple of old forum posts mentioned the company might be helpful, but this thing does seem pretty old 8) I'll try calling them tomorrow, in the meantime I'm sketching one on the back of an envelope. I could not find any model number or ID plate, just the company logo on the little keyboard. Any restoration tips greatly appreciated, as always! I'm thinking about doing something crazy like a Bluetooth and/or MIDI interface for it.
Thanks!
I am also looking for a schematic, manual…. ANYTHING…. to help me repair my Maas-Rowe Vibrachime and Vibrachord.
Please let me know if you have been able to locate anything.
I have (a year ago or so) literally called Maas-Rowe in Escondido, CA (not too far from me), left multiple polite voicemail messages… politely emailed them multiple times… never got a response, ever.
It's a good thing that I am persistent, because one weekday when I called, an actual human being answered the phone.
I politely explained what I was hoping to find, offered to happily pay for a repair of my Vibrachime and Vibrachord (they don't service them), buy parts (they didn't have any), buy any type of schematic and manual for them (they didn't have any of those either).
So I have long searched for this information and have never ever found anything.
Anyone out there with help on these…. it would be very sincerely appreciated if you could share your findings.
Thank you in advance.

From what I've read, I gather the amplifiers in those units may have been manufactured by Western Electric.
Amplifiers are fairly simple circuits in the scheme of things, so anyone with tube amp experience (e.g. guitar amp repairers) should be able to help you.
Mine only had two problems- dirty RCA plugs and jacks, and the power supply filter capacitor needed to be re-formed from not being used for years. Works great! I have not added MIDI to the Vibrachime yet but I did convert a big set of Maas-Rowe cathedral chimes to bluetooth MIDI last year. Pretty cool!
