This guy really knows his stuff. I've been following him for a few weeks and enjoying his broadcasts, which "usually" come off without a hitch, though he makes lemonade with the occasional lemon. I especially admire the way he smoothly integrates his organ sound (straight from the computer) with his commentary, speaking into a microphone which he evidently switches on with a little box to the right of the keys. And his excellent camera angles, and the separate camera for his feet. We could all learn a lot from him (and Caroline). Very appropriate in this day when many of us have no choice but to do our playing on YouTube.

Also love that he often plays in SOCKS!

Although in one of his videos he does show his bench risers to accommodate using Organmaster shoes with the "high heels."

    Admin,

Thank you so much for sharing this video. I used to teach video production, but that was before live-streaming was easily possible. From the video, I was able to find open-source software and devices available for that purpose. The incessant buzz in the audio stream from the organ feed was a bit annoying because I couldn't tell whether it was on the computer or my tinnitus from a medication I'm taking. It was nice to find out it wasn't me!;-)

    Great video!

Richard also has an interesting tour of his Hauptwerk organ setup and a second one showing his upgraded PC. It's worth looking at other videos on his YouTube channel.

Confession time-I have. He has the skill to present the organ from an educational as well as a performing perspective. That's a rare find!

Yes indeed! He is a consummate musician who also seems to know his technical stuff. We need more people like that!

One can gain an appreciation of how good planning and a solid understanding of workflow contribute to a successful livestream. There is a lot more behind the scenes to making good videos than plopping a camera on a tripod and pressing a few buttons.

He is also quite skilled as a maker too.

There is a video on how he built a Hauptwerk chamber organ. Another video shows his plans to construct a Rückpositiv for his Hauptwerk home setup.
