Good Evening Gentlemen, Ladies and those that play Hammonds</p>

Spent my formative years taking loads and loads of piano lessons but have always been loving the baroque organ. Deciding not to spend the bucks (4-5000.00 to fix the action on my paino ) so next.... There is a 1969 Allen 3D4 nearby that I can by for 750.00 or less - do I buy the toaster and see if it works ( the wires were cut to the amplifiers and speakers but does power up) or is this a candidate to borrow parts and build a much smaller midi organ&gt; The organ has 3 keyboards, 32 pedal board, couplers, pistons, toe studs, gas pedals etc. I am sorely tempted to so purchase and give it a whirl. Within driving distance there is a Conn 2 manual, 25 pedal board Rhapsody 628 (100.00) and a Hammond digitial organ ( do not know the model) (330.00) but has 2 keyboards, coupler, piston and 32 pedal board. Does either one of these sound like a better candidate??? Think that the Hammond is maybe the simpler to rob and convert - at least I do not have to drive to Georgia to pick up... advice?

I would buy the Allen. Even it it doesn't work you got a great start for a fantastic MIDI project. My Allen organ is only two manuals, but if it ever blows, I plan on keeping it for a MIDI project, that is unless I find a 3 manual organ first!
