• Midi Organ keyboards and pedal boards

I'm not sure if there has been a post on this yet but....

I was wondering if anyone in the U.S. has purchased midi organ keyboards and pedal boards from the Classic Organ Works or Classic MIDI Works company in Canada. I am look for an opinion on their products before buying them. I have a space issue in my house which is why I cannot buy a "regular" electronic Allen or Rodgers etc. Also because of price. I then saw hauptwerk and the MIDI keyboards and pedal board and came to the forum for opinions.

    The websites oftheseproducts arewww.organworks.com andwww.midiworks.ca

    Thanks if anyone can help.

    Hi,

I have to declare an interest because I represent these guys in UK and Germany, but you definitely won't be disappointed.

Talk to Darryl Wood at Classic - he's extremely helpful.

Many many Hauptwerk users in the US have midiworks keyboards.

I have two. They are excellent keyboards with a very nice light tracker feel. I don't use the midiworks pedalboard. I have a happily gutted Rodgers console and wired the existing pedalboard to mate with the controller that midiworks uses for their pedalboard. But I did replace the Rodgers keyboards.

Now that you've found Hauptwerk, I can't imagine why you'd still be looking at a "regular" Allen or a Rodgers anyway :-)

Midiworks is an excellent company to deal with, provide fast support when needed. It's hard to go wrong.

'Hello listers, I have just gotten the full Hauptwerk advanced edition. I have a new Dell Studio 17 with 4G, etc. I am getting static and background noise that is very loud and can't get rid of it. I've gone through all of the Hauptwerk Forum and tutorials with no luck. 4 serious "geek" computer guys are now trying to make it happen. They have the list of "audio fixes" that Hauptwerk offers. Don't tell me I should have gotten a Mac...I know...cost was the issue and many people have gotten Dells to work. Anybody have a similar problem and what was your fix???? Roy Daniels

What sort of sound card did you buy to use with Hauptwerk? If you are trying to use the onboard audio that came with the PC you will definately experience this sort of problem. If you have a pro audio AISO audio interface, then possbly the problem is the driver. Are you using the latest drivers available for the card?
