The local organ tech came to look at my almost dead Allen 120c and said his "small" Rodgers 750 is a much better instrument even once I midify the Allen. Does any one concur? 45 years working on classical piano but always gravitated towards BACH - clearly an organ beginner but think I am catching on. My ear hears the older HI-fi recordings as far better than the new digital (scratchyl, lacking midtones, lacking overtones, lacking acoustic color) recordings. So please advise?

Re: Rodgers 750 in good order or Allen 120C Midified
The Rodgers 750 has been one of my favorite instruments since it was new; I would choose it any day over the Allen 120. But after you midify the Allen, you could run Hauptwerk; then the only limitation is your amps and speakers. ...just my $0.02.

Well I wouldgo witha Rodgers, if you shop around there are good ones out there... I just found a large two manual drawknob Rodgers for a client and it already had the factory installed MIDI ... it was a trade in and we got it for a great price .... the sound quality will be much better! You will find that Rodgers really has it all going on with their MIDI systems... and its totally easy to use and work with ... the best of all builders in its price range!
