I am wondering if there is a source for new lighted draw knobs for Rodgers organs? If so can they be ordered with new engraving?

    thanks - Rev. A. J. B.

Perhaps Rodgers would have them available for you? If not, they could definitely send you in the right direction. Here is their website: http://www.rodgersinstruments.com/

    • Lowrey Heritage (DSO-1)

        Hi Rev.

You don't state which model Rodgers you have.

I can tell you that for many years Rodgers used Syndyne units, and I believe Syndyne also did the engraving for Rodgers.

Rodgers still uses Syndyne LDKs. The engraving of both LDKs and lighted rocker tabs has actually been done at the Hillsboro, OR plant for several years now. With the introduction of the Trillium Masterpiece series, they need to be able to perform much more custom engraving since these organs (and all the newer models) can be built to order. I saw the computer-driven engraving system in operation when I visited a couple of years ago.

            Thanks-- AV and Tom.

Having one - a 2 manual - drawknob is still a dream at this point.

I am doing research because there is a possibility that I might be getting a Rodgers - [not sure of the model yet] - from a friend who happens to be an organ repairman. The intent is to - make it a science project and midisize it at this point. -- The individual is also an electronic wizard. HOPES are up :-). I was thinking that I might have to change out the draw knobs to actually match the newly install voices. --- JUST THINKING AHEAD. But thank you very much for your answers - most appreciated. One never knows I may have to ask a few more questions along the way.

Hi guys just got a GREAT e-mail. The Organ is a Rodgers 760 - It was struck by lightening [repaired at great expense] and then hit again. the secopnd time they didn'y want to mess with it. SO the basic console is mine for the having. WISH ME LUCK :-) I saw a midisize issue on the forum concerning a 760.
