Wow, I didn't realize my 10a was really that old! I figured that they had worked on the technology and all, but I still was a little worried about what it would sound like due to the 10a and the orgasonic at church somewhere. *sigh of relief* Like what was earlier said, it won't match to an organ, but as long as it sounds reasonbly good, I'm happy.
I want the organ SS to be different from the main SS, for a few reasons... primarily being that I would want control over my sound volume, not the sound guy. The guy behind the board generally brings the "organ" (keyboard with "Full Pipes" sound) wwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy down to the point you can hardly hear it.
However, due to the fact that we're really in debt from our "new" building (we had a fire and did some major renovations), and that people haven't been tithing so much, simply, we have no money to spend on a seperate speaker system for the organ. So until we get some money (or donations specifically to the "organ fund", which as of now doesn't exist), the main SS will have to do. Simply, it's better than the smaller speakers that we would be forced to use instead.
I was given this organ for free... it was first intended to be used at my house for my practice, but I could both practice and perform at church, so it's going there until I get the pipe organ playing again.
In the note of the bass speaker, I'm not sure... the main speaker of the SS is definantly not capible of playing the low notes, so that speaker will have to do. At FBC where I used to practice for a while, they had an older Allen organ and I just played with the organ monitor (which was relatively small), but it could play the bass notes, just not very loudly. So like I've said, until we get some money for it, I'll be stuck with what I can get.
Speaking of the channels... What is the output of this organ? I didn't get a chance to look at the back and haven't gotten to order the instruction manual yet. Is it possible to convert this to a 1/4" "headphone" style plug?
