Allen Organ Company usually has it's Spring Sales Seminar the first week of May. Does anyone know if Allen had the seminar this year and if there are changes in the product line? What's new?

Hi,
I know Allen is supposed to have an annual dealer get together in May, but I have not heard a thing. On the Allen Owners Group, there was no mention of anything. A few months ago, it was mentioned that Allen had released a MIDI module/sequencer called Navigator. It features a touch screen and some new features as compared to their Vista.
If anything revolutionary was released, I'm sure we would know of it by now.
My guess is that Allen and most everyone else in this business, is in survival mode right now. There just is no money for serious R&D. Organ sales have been in serious decline now for better part of a decade, so my guess is that there is little manufacturers can do to reverse it. The US market especially has declined in organ sales, and it was the US market that typically was the bread and butter of the industry.

It's sad that the organ business, both pipe and electronic is in such decline. There are still plenty of people who don't want trash for music, but it's a rough time right now.
Allen offers things like EAC (expanded Audio Capabilities) to try and offer the blended/praiseband crowd something. they also try to demonstrate the ability of their organs to be used as a stack of MIDI keyboards that can play contemporary noise by a MIDI module. I don't think there has been much of an effort to sell organs to the contemporary crowd by other brands. Do you know if this is working for them? I know real organ music is still their bread and butter.
