Differences between the Rodgers 588 and the Allegiant 698.

Hi everyone. I am trying to figure out what the differences are between the new Rodgers 588 three-manual organ and the Rodgers Allegiant 698. I do not see how there could be very many differences; the 588 seems to be a cheaper version of the 698 that has more organ voices but less orchestrals. Can someone please help? Thanks.

    Hi,

My understanding is that the new Rodgers 500 series, is based on the Roland Classic keyboard sound engine, which is the latest technology from Roland. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this new organ is not as well built as the Allegiant, but it will sound better - and better sound is always a better thing in my books.

      Rodgers 588

I had the chance to play one of these a week ago. Fantastic sounding instrument I must say, and extremely versatile. The roll-top cover is definitely a bit on the thin side, but it's all in all not a badly built instrument. I must say that I'm a big fan of what they've done here.
