  • WANTED: Allen ADC-3100DK Specs

Does someone know the specs for an Allen ADC-3100DK? Does it have divided expression, internal or external speakers, how many channels/watts, true celeste or celeste tuning, 32' pedal stop, AGO, how many stops, MIDI. Does someone have a stop list. Is it worth purchasing for a practice instrument at home? Thanks.

Yes, it has divided expression, and a crescendo pedal.

External speakers, 4 channels as usually delivered. Could be mixed down to 2 channels, but I don't ever recommend doing that.

    Nominally, 100 watts per channel.

No MIDI. The MADC adapter card should work with it, giving note on/off info only (no expression, no interface with pistons).

    Celeste was via "celeste tuning."

    No 32' pedal voices.

Yes it is worth purchasing as a practice instrument if you can get a good deal on it. You can do a lot worse.

Stoplist (I may have a few names wrong):

    Pedal
    16' Diapason
    16' Bourdon
    16' Lieblich Gedackt
    8' Octave
    8' Gedacktflöte
    4 Choralbass
II Mixture (I think it is 2 ranks, might be 3)
    16' Posaune
    8' Trompette

    Swell
    8' Gedackt
    8' Violas II
    4' Spitzprincipal
    4' Koppelflöte
    2-2/3' Nasat
    2' Blockflöte
    1-3/5' Terz
    1' Sifflöte
16' Basson (Early models might be labelled Bassoon)
    8' Trompette
    4' Clairon
    Tremulant
    Celeste Tuning

    Great
    16' Lieblich Gedackt
    8' Principal
    8' Rohrflöte
    8' Violas II (SW)
    4' Octave
    4' Spitzflöte
    2' Super Octave
    2' Waldflöte
    IV Mixture
    8' Krummhorn
    Chimes
    Tremulant
    Celeste Tuning

    Alterables
    Alterable Voice 1
    Alterable Voice 2
    Alterable to Swell
    Alterable to Great
    Alterable to Pedal

    8' Swell to Great
    8' Swell to Pedal
    8' Great to Pedal
    Alterable F
    Percussion Short

    Vibrato was optional
    Antiphonal controls were optional

The organ derived much of the pedal from duplexed voices from the Great.

This was the first organ in the Allen T-drawknob console. Now, nearly all of their line has consoles that are slight variations on this console.

    Toodles.

Have you considered visiting Allen's website where you can download the owner's manual? I think you have to be a member of the owners club first, though.

If you contact me via PM or e-mail, I can make a copy available to you.

Not sure these alterations make much difference in your decision, but hope they help.

P.S. The 3100 has toe studs as well (5-10 General, and 1-6 Pedal).
