Oh, just go for it! The neighbors won't mind. Have you thought of farming out some of the organs to interested parties for housing. You can pay them a visit from time-to-time! That's what I do (with 1 or 2).

Way too many organs to list, but I do have 5 Allens:
      • MOS-2 Model 505-B / ADC-4300-DK / ADC-5400 / ADC-6000 (Symphony) / ADC-8000DKC
      • Lowrey Heritage (DSO-1)
      • 11 Pump Organs, 1 Pipe Organ & 7 Pianos

Just be aware, you probably have to remove your front door to get it in the house!

Although the Klann console & controls are likely lovely, remember this is 30+ years old, and the Conn technology is somewhat limited by today's standards. $3,000 for an organ of this age is a hefty chuck of change.

Well I have double front doors but the console weighs in at 1000#. I'm thinking of trading one of my Hammond A105's and leslies for this set up...still would have a Hammond and leslies to play on. The thing is, for some reason I have always loved the Conn sound. I can always find another Hammond/ Leslie if I need 2 or 3. This Conn ...they only made 12 of to compete hard in the classical realm. Yeah I know Allen and Rodgers may have some better analogs but this has a particular history and I love the sound. Keep you informed

I thought the comments say this organ is already spoken for. (Maybe by you?)

This organ appears to be still available, but keep in mind that it is currently installed in a church with eight audio channels, ten sets of Conn pipe speakers and a Leslie for the tibias. The $2995 asking price does not include removal from the church nor delivery and installation to your home.

If you do decide to go for it, Hamman, I have first-hand knowledge of this dealer and know that they will work with you and help in any way that they can to help you get the instrument moved and set up in your home. They are excellent to work with.

If you can do it by all means you should. As my friend Paul J said in another venue this morning we are all too aware that this type of instrument will not continue to be available much longer. The added bonus of classical and Leslie makes this a rare treasure indeed. The recession is the only reason this instrument had to be advertised. Otherwise someone would have been on the "waiting" list. I guess there isn't any list these days. No one is lined up to buy organs now?

Well its officially mine! If tbis were a massed produced series or connball era I would have passed. But this has a special history like some of you know. Ive been told that there are known to be 5 left with 2 on the west coast. I heard there were only 10 or 12 made total. I talked to the seller extensively today and feel real comfortable with him. He was the original installer of this organ in this church in 1978 . He worked with me on the price which sweetened the deal. Heck a 145 mint condition leslie and a boat load of mint pipes comes with it....albeit I have other plans for the audio on this organ......just sort of makes the price much easier to swallow. So I had to get rid of a Hammond/ leslie for it ( wifes conditions) those you can find anywhere any day!

Congratulations, I hope you are enjoying your new acquisition soon! I do envy those pipes, though! Too bad you're out there--I'd offer to take some off your hands.

Lovely instrument. Even with a sliding back door I barely got my Baldwin HT2 in the house. This Conn would be a much bigger challenge me thinks. Beautiful console.

Congratulations on your acquisition. I'm sure you will have many hours of pleasure from this instrument. And I know you will develop a great relationship with George, Wayne, and the rest of the staff at Organ Stop in San Diego.

Thanks all! Its around 9 pm and im ready to make my 2 hour trek in the morning to pick this beast up. I feel like when I was a kid on christmas eve. Wayne is indeed a very pleasant person to deal with and its great to talk to him on the history of this particular organ. He was the original installer of this organ in that church where it currently sits. He even called me to let me know that the service manual is even there. I do have a question.......Wayne tells me there are 2) Conn257 speaker cabinets used for the bass and also to amplify the pipe speakers. On the net all I could find were 257 Leslies. Anybody got any ideas? Well I guess I'll know in short order. Keep you posted
