Ideas on updating Rodgers hybrid

Dear Friends,
The parish where I serve has a 25 year old Rodgers 205 combination pipe/analog organ, that for the most part has provided reliable service. As part of the instrument's 25th anniversary and a possible relocation of the choir to the front of the worship space, I am starting to look at options for expanding/updating/revising the electronics portion of the instrument.
Your thoughts would be appreciated. I am wondering:
1) Would it be possible to simply convert the current console's electronics to the Rodgers Trillium/PDI voices?
2). If you had to choose between updating the electronics with synthesis-based (i.e., Copeman Hart) or sampling-based (i.e., Phoenix, Walker, Rodgers, etc.) what would be best and why?
3). How difficult would it be, as a low-cost solution, to MIDI-fy the current console that it might play an Ahlborn Archive module?
Thanks for any input you can offer.
