  • So...what's my next step?

So, before midifying this Allen 120 C beast, I'd like to maybe get it up and running properly as it will be a while before I can afford to but the transformation kit. So, how do I get power to the thing now that I blew something? The light that illuminates the pedals works, and I think I can hear some huming from the amps, but the power light does not come one, nor does anything make any sound. Help.

Read a book like Thomas Floyd, Electron Devices, the Electron Flow Version that teaches power supply theory and debug with a DVM. Buy a DVM. If it is only a power supply problem, that is probably enough to figure out the problem.

Get a voltmeter and measure the voltages on the power supply terminal strip and see if they correspond to what's called out.

        Buzzy,

In reality, a forum like this cannot teach you how to troubleshoot complex electronic devices in a few short postings, and you are sort of asking for us to do that.

Actually I was just asking what the first step was and where to look, as in where the fuses are located. I see the obvious ones, but I was wondering if there are any hidden ones.

All the fuses are accessible without opening up anything. Most if not all are behind the round black knob-type holders.
