I've been curious to know about the source of tones for the two rank mixture on the Conn 717 organ. I've got a 716 and the mixture is derived from the flute side of the oscillators (I assume since flute tone is available all the way up to 1' pitch). On the 716 there is only an 8' diapason on the great. The 717, on the other hand, has diapason tone at 8', 4', and 2' on the great. Does this mean that the mixture on the 717 is derived from "pulse" tone rather than flute tone?
