  • 1987 Wyvern Touring Organ.

    Greetings each.
I have just purchased one of these at auction. It's a dual-purpose instrument equal to 4/29 in cinema mode, or 120 speaking stops in classical mode.
The organ is equipped with 5 x powered tone cabinets: 4 x high/mid-tone plus 1 bass cabinet with a thumping great 24" Fane speaker.
    Herein lieth the problem:
The ruddy house-clearance firm which dealt with the removal, skipped all the leads/connector kit/etc!!!!
I am advised by the Wyvern service engineer that there were only five of these models constructed.
Does anybody happen to know anyone who might own the others please?
Hopefully I may then be able to ask the question regarding speaker configuration. There are several DINs and XLR connections involved here, so I haven't the proverbial clue. :-(
    Be good!
    Cheers.
    Mike C.

I remember that one went into a first floor flat on Brighton seafront. Windows came out and it was hoisted in by crane. But I doubt if they would have been able to use or even install a whole load of speakers!
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

      Hi Andy.
Nope, it's not the same organ. The one you mention is, I believe, the one which was allegedly b******d-up by David H last year and subsequently flogged on Fleabay for "spares or repair".
The one I have is the prototype, which was "gigged" all over the Country by Trevor Bolshaw back in the late 80's/early 90's. I now have copies of all original documentation to confirm this, as well as Trevor's own testament.
      Be good!
      Cheers.
      Mike.
