  • What model Allen is the one in these videos?

My guess it is an MDS-5 or 10 from the early 1990s (1991-93). I suspect it is an MDS-5. You can see a black bar graph on the right side, so I know it is not an ADC.

    MDS-5X

Enjoyed the playing and organ. The minister enjoys organ music--a real plus!

How can you tell it is an MDS-5X, not just a regular MDS-5? The face that the Allen Digital Computer Organ logo is above the Swell, not between the Swell and Great, makes me think it's just a regular MDS-5 or MDS-10.

The church I go to has a 1991 MDS-5 (http://www.organforum.com/forums/showthread.php?27611-Is-this-an-Allen-ADC-or-MDS&highlight=mrcatlover1989) and everything about it seems identical to the one in the videos.

My home organ is an MDS-8, one of the later MDS models (mine was one of the last ones made, I think). The MDS-5 is from the early '90s when the MDS series first came out.

He pushed a piston and the stops moved. According to the Manuals on the Allen website, the X model has a moving combination action.

You're right. The MDS-5 did not have moving tabs.
