  • Stuck Tab - Rodgers 330

I have a tab that is always "on" even though it is switched "off". It is the 1' sifflote tab for the choir manual.

When in the "off" position it plays more softly than when "on" but it won't completely turn "off".

Toodles sent the technical manual which tells how to access the tabs - but I don't know what to do once I get there.

    Can it be cleaned/adjusted?

Worst case, I would guess it could be disconnected.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

I would suspect a shorted diode or leaking transistor in the switching circuit. Are you handy with a voltmeter?

The place to look would be near the volume control for the sifflote. I don't have a photo of the board so can't point out the suspect parts.
If you find the control, a 560 ohm resistor, and a diode we can do some troubleshooting.

Thanks, I'll look. I suspect I can adjust the volume to identify the circuit, then I'll snap a picture and post it.
