In Jan G's post 24 he has told you the commercial source of diagrams.
You may educate yourself on the appearance of parts by looking at the diagrams from suppliers. One old parts supplier is just radios of canada. I don't know the URL. I buy modern parts from newark.com which will be much longer lasting if they will work. I don't imagine the high inductance of paper caps (compared to plastic film caps) is important in oscillator circuits, although it is crucial to the sound of desirable distortions in particular guitar amp circuits. The guitar amp business drives the availability of obsolete tube type parts these days.

As I mentioned earlier, I have tried contacting Dave's Electronics several times but never got a response.

As for using parts suppliers to identify parts, I will try that, I didn't think of that. Also thanks for the suggestion on using newark.com.

Alright, I'm getting a bit irritated with this now. As I have already mentioned, Dave's Electronics never responds to the numerous emails I've sent. That doesn't help me when I've asked if there is anywhere I can get the owner's manual, wiring schematics, anything to help identify what I'm looking at. Now I've been able to start searching for capacitors, transistors, etc. that I need, but it would definitely help to understand more about this thing works. I'm not trying to be annoying by asking a million questions but I'm in the Air Force, so I don't usually have time to sit for hours on end just trying to figure out what every little piece does.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the help I've gotten up to this point, and I'm not trying to be rude and disrespectful, however I have not gotten any clear answer on why Dave's Electronics won't respond to any emails I send asking about the organ.

All these vendors are getting old and very part time. Organservice in marengo IN has a day job and doesn't answer the phone, there is a thread going on Greenhill the UK supplier being unresponsive, the only full time organ parts place seems to Morelock's organ service in rienzi MS, and they mostly support Wurlitzers. We have had poster Jan G on here that sold his old service manuals, we haven't seen him for a while - i imagine there is some health issue.
Sorry. The oscillators on the D are probably in the TAB "how to service organs" book but that has been out of print for decades, I've never seen a copy. You can read wikipedia on RLC oscillators, or download one of the fifties college texts from http://www.tubebooks.org/technical_books_online.htm
The early transistor models used the same oscillator configurations, only the gain stages changed.
As I said, low volume and no bass is a typical bad e-cap problem in the amp, maybe the mixers. I believe you have one missing note, that is an oscillator or divider issue, probably having to do with out of value paper caps or carbon comp resistors.
Jimmy Williams is the local specialist on these, and he is probably playing holiday gigs. Armed services get less training schedule around the holidays, musicians work their ***es off.
I'm retired and just have to sing a Christmas cantata , not playing this year,, but I don't know much about Gulbransens specifically. Good luck.

Sorry I am late - there is a reason ...

Anyway, Vince the Tibias are normally much softer than the main voices - to make them louder you use the black tibia volume tab and adjust accordingly. The lower manual Tibias are also normally softer than the upper so there is a tibia FF tab there to bring to full volume.

And don't bother with the tuba stop in the main voice section for playing general passages - it is so loud that it will overpower anything and should only be used for effect/voicing as needed.

Hope this helps. I will also see if I can get the service manual posted somehow but cannot promise anything.

So the others are aware in case you were wondering where I have been ... I have had many bad things happen in my life over the last few years, culminating with my marriage being destroyed last year. I could write more in general chat if appropriate. Bottom line is my life has been in disarray and I do not know how much time I can dedicate to this forum. But I will try to check in once in a while.
