  • Viscount Jubileum 227 pushbuttons problem

I have a Viscount Jubileum 227 digital organ free from a pre-owner. The organ plays perfect, but there is some problems with two push-buttons. In the front of the organ below manual I there is some push buttons for the memory bank and one push button "ENC" for the master volume for the organ with the swell only.
    See photo.
The Memory bank no. 3 does not work and the same goes for "ENC. The pre-owner never used those functions, and did buy the organ new around 1996.
Can I fix it with som kind of claening, or must I replace the unit for the push-buttons?

I have found out, that the push buttons are Rubber Conductive Button Pad with light. I do not know if (rubber)buttons like this can be cleaned, or it has something do with the missing light?

Now I did fix the problem by myself. It was easy to get access to the push buttons unit below manual I. I did clean the two push buttons gently with a german product. And now all the push buttons are workning.
The cabinet has some vibrations, so I did use the same plates using in cars, - and it did help. The cabinet is now more "dead".Click image for larger version

I was not apple to upload more photos.
It is easy to get access to all parts in this organ. If somebody needs more informations about this problem, - just ask.
I have the schematic manual for the Viscount Jubileum 227/230/232/235/245.
