  • Allen Organ Model

Our church organ I play is an old, Allen Card reader organ, probably 80's. I am trying to find the plate with the year manufactured and model number. I have looked around the organ, and on the back, and its not there!

    Where would this plate be?!

    Thanks in Advance!!

Take the wood back panel off and check inside there. Some organs also have the Data plate under the keyboard desk as well

On an Allen lift the lid and check for a plate on the back left just below the lid's hinges.

Both of the previous posts are correct--depending on the model. If your church organ is a contemporary console, I believe the cover cannot be lifted, and the back needs to be unscrewed. If your organ has a B or D console, then you lift the lid, and the label is on the back rail--usually where the hinge is located.

To find out if you have a contemporary console, check the following link: http://www.organforum.com/gallery/di...m=128&pid=3237 or http://www.organforum.com/gallery/di...m=128&pid=3241

        D Console: http://www.organforum.com/gallery/di...m=128&pid=3243

        Hope this helps.
