  • New member and a new Johannus Opus 270

    Hi Everyone!

I received my new Johannus Opus 270 in January of this year!
The organ is impressive, but needed some overall volume and regulation
    adjustments using the Intonat software.
Thanks to don60 for the technical assistance on using the Intonat software.

Attached is a picture of the new Johannus and a small pipe organ I built a few
    years ago.

    Cheers!

Congratulations !!! For an entry AGO model home organ the Opus 270 is quite impressive and will give you many years of enjoyment.
Having the Intonat software as well gives you the tools to regulate and voice each of the 4 organs on board plus the 3 variations of each for a total of 12 organs, each having their own distinct sounds. And .... all of that for a very reasonable price.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new organ. Looking forward to hearing about your experiences regulating and voicing your organ. I have a Rembrandt 470 that could probably use some of that. Also have a Schober Recital from long ago . . .

Organ envy! I helped install and voice a 270 several years ago in a small RC church, and I loved it. I've gone back and played it since, and I'm just as impressed. Sounds lovely, and the numerous variations available just kept me finding new sounds.

Keep at it with the Intonat and you will continue to make improvements. With the 30 or so stops, each one having four or five alternative sample sets, there are a BUNCH of ranks that you have to voice individually to get it all right. I have to admit that I didn't actually go over every single rank in every organ type note by note when I voiced it, as the time required is just too daunting.

I think this is one of the nicest Johannus organs I've ever played anywhere. I'd rather have this one than one of the gigantic American Classic models, which seem a bit overdone to me.
