Just curious. The organ on which I play at the Lutheran church is an early 1970's Allen Custom two manual. Why in the world did they put the chimes tab in with the bass stops? I've only ever seen this tab on the great manual. Do you think it was an afterthought? Every Sunday when I go to play right before the benediction, I always use the chimes, but I have to manually activate them because I only have 4 presets which are already used up with other combinations. I've been doing this now for over a year and I still can't get used to this tab being in the pedal division. Drives me nuts!:emotion-39:

Makes me think it was something added after market or in the field.

Possibly the technician found the only blank tab that was available on the organ and wired the chimes to it. Allen would not have put the chime tab in the pedal division on an original build, imho.
