  • Is someone smoking something?

    Hi,

On this forum, in the section of organs for sale on E-Bay, there is a Johannus organ listed for sale. It is an Opus 240, with 8 large speakers.
Bidding starts at $9,000. Buy it now price is $11,700.
From what I know of this organ, it is an early 1980s analog organ. It is 35 years old, pre-digital, pre, MIDI.
On the plate it says the organ runs on 240 volts.
It is said to be located in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Is it OK for me to laugh at this idiot who posted this.

Maybe they are smoking something. Must be precious to someone.

Maybe that seller is taking their cue from seeing prices FF asks for, on EBay.

I'm not sure what could be surprising about this. It's no different than the $99,999 purported Apple Lisa prototype or any of the other similar auctions.

R@RE!!!! It's the only organ in the world like it on eBay! R@RE!!!!

I think it is OK to laugh, especially since the seller has other organs and they are all Lowreys.

Not much different than the guy in FLorida trying to sell the Rodgers 205 in Florida for $11,111.11.

              And here's todays laughing stock:
              https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/h...487414267.html

I am sorry, but what is pictured is a 1980s bottom feeder analog Johannus. It's rare they fetch $1000 anymore, at least around here. Oh, and it contains digital samples from St Patricks in New York City!

Actually the seller says it's a "Johannas" so it must be something really special! (snicker)

It's the 30 note AGO pedalboard that is extra special.

So, if it is Johanna’s, when did she buy it?

one would think these posting could be reported to CL, but apparently not.
