  • Rodgers Exeter 770 Memory

I've been able to unlock the memory per instructions found on the forum and set pistons. When I turn the organ off and return for practice later, my settings do not hold and the organ reverts to the factory setting pistons. Any ideas what's going on? Thanks for your help in advance. Paul

The batteries are dead. Take the metal cover off the CPU cavity. Inside, held in place by a large clip, you will see a pair of lead acid "D" size cells. You can still buy those exact cells from various internet sources. All you have to do is clip the old ones out and wire in the new ones, being VERY careful to observe polarity on both of them!

BTW, have the organ unplugged from the wall when you do this, as the battery charging circuit is always live when the power cord is in the socket.

Also, you might want to add crimp terminals to the wires so that when you have to replace the batteries again you don't have to solder.
