  • Maas Rowe Chimes

    Hi,

If this is the wrong place to post this —- I apologize.

Did Maas Rowe at one time make a 21 note chime set that was not amplified electronically — I guess that I mean more like Deagan Chimes?

Yes, Maas-Rowe made a few different versions of "Cathedral Chimes" that were un-amplified, tubular chimes.

Thank you for the information. Was there a switch on the console to turn them on/off —like with Deagen chimes? I know a small keyboard was available to play some units — but also key contacts under the organ keys.

As with all Chimes units, the exact installation approach varies according to whatever the installer wanted to do or was instructed to do. Either a separate keyboard was used or an installer could use underkey contacts. If underkey contacts were used, the installer would have an on/off switch which could be a spare stop tab. If a keyboard was used an on/off switch was often mounted on the keyboard.
