• What about a Phoenix?

I have heard a lot about phoenix organs, and i have ordered literature and a cd from them, but i would like to know about customization. How far do they go on customization? I would like a two or three manual with a custom stoplist. Im talking blank sheet of paper stoplist. Anyway, if anyone could enlighten me, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT: I almost forgot to ask about speaker systems. I have seen those cubes and what not on their website, but i was also wondering if they offered like speakers with a pipe facade. What about amplifiers? Anyone please help. Thanks

Read their UK website. I heard one recently in Leeds and I was impressed. And that's unusual.

The original Phoenix I heard in Vernon, New Jersey had a custom speaker system and amplifier system used with it. Another one of their customers used a bunch of his frequent flyer miles to go up and sit in the shop while designing the stoplist, I believe, and the sales guy down there (OrganForum's own organist777, David Simmons created a custom speaker enclosure for the home. I suspect that they'll do almost anything, within reason. I see where some of the stops for the instrument built for Haig Mardirosian were sampled from the organ where he is Director of Music. That sounds pretty customized to me!

Of course, customization needs to be paid for, but your best bet is to send an email to Don and Jim Anderson and ask them straight out what you want. If there's a sales person around you, they will contact you. Where abouts are you located?
