  • Allen tremulant pot setting

Hey — I have a question about the tremulant setting on an Allen MADC 3100. In a voicing guide — does Allen tell where the factory pot setting is for tremulant? I also know that it is a matter of preference. I plan on using my Lexicon MX400 to give me more theatrical trem/vibrato effects. I just can’t decide on the Allen trem setting. I think my ears are tired!!

I don't know if Allen has a recommended factory setting since trem setting is a personal preference, as you indicate. However, note that your model (and many others of that era) trem is only adjustable for rate, and not for depth.

If you're having trouble deciding on a setting, try different voices and it might become easier. I'd try setting it on the Trompette or Krummhorn.
