  • Allen 225RTC questions

I have found an Allen on craigslist that I am considering. The model is stated as AC9398 225RTC. From other web searches, I believe this would be an MOS 2 organ ? Is that correct ? My question of most concern is does this model have programmable combination action or are they all factory preset? Also, from what little info I can find, if I want reverb , I will have to install some kind of reverb kit. (I am not knowledgeable about electronics). Any useful Info or opinions would be nice. And does anyone have a
Stop list for this model ? It is priced at $395.

The 225 is a MOS-2 model with a single computer, card reader, and DM (dual memory) capture system. It may have been equipped with Allen's TAS reverb and Trem III's as options.

I'm not very knowledgeable about the technology of electronic organs . What does DM capture system mean exactly? Does it allow the organist to set each piston to their own custom registrations? Also, are the stop tabs " moving" tabs?

DM stands for Dual Memory. There should be a tab that is labeled 'Memory B' that allow the organist to select the other set of presets.
If there are only two organists, then each can have their own set of custom registrations. Three or more organists would require some additional coordination.

Yes it does and yes they are.

As the OP asked whether the organ had programmable combinations, I just want to be clear that the DM system is programmable. Allen used the term "presets" for non-programmable combination actions.
