  • Info needed about a Baldwin Church Organ

Does anyone have any pictures as well as know the model number of this Baldwin I will describe the best I can? I was told recently about it, and I don't know if it was in production after Baldwin became a part of Church Organ Systems or was it in production when Baldwin acquired Wurlitzer. All I know is I was told that each division on the 2 manuals and pedals had wheel controls that would control the amount of volume on each division. I never played a Baldwin that had those types of controls, and I doubt any pipe organ would have such a device.

I do know in the 70's Wurlitzer made organs that had a slide control above each of the stop divisions of their organs both spinet and console models.

Back to this Baldwin I also don't know if it was a Baldwin Howard model. I was familiar with many of the Baldwin models until they acquired Wurlitzer and then any later models they had in production with the Baldwin logo on the console.

In haste I had asked this info on here knowing full well I had not played or seen any Baldwin Church organ with the features I had described. I have learned via private email that it is not a church organ at all although it is used in a church. It is a Baldwin PR200!!!! As we know all kinds of models were used in churches although they were not built to be a church organ.

As churches are throwing out organs right and left for the praise bands it is no telling what might be found in their dumpsters or left on a curb.
