What am I missing here? Are you saying that "the committee" is looking to replace your current Phoenix with an instrument from a organ manufacturer more favourably located from a political perspective.? [*-)] And if so, would that be from a heavenly or earthy perspective? [:$]</P>

Replace our Phoenix? No way! I was referring to Vercus's search committee that wanted to "buy local". They're in the immediate Allen/Walker area (I think) and did not want to travel very far, or perhaps it was a service issue. Either way, they wanted a local manufacturer. At our church we were looking for the best sound that fit our musical style and talents and budget, and we felt that Toronto was not that far away. Conservative, it turns out, has other meanings than political.

Alas, I really don't have anything to report right now. The organ is in production. I'm sure we'll get to see the console at some point. I'm definitely interested to see what it looks like.</p>
