I found a wurlitzer 4570 on craigslist.com and I'm thinking about getting it. He's selling it for $50 and says it's in good working condition, also the pictures of it look good. I'm just getting into learning piano but don't have one of my own to practice on. I love that organ sound (especially the hammonds) and I figure if I can get some keys to practice on for $50 I should go for it. $50 sounds pretty ridiculous though, it makes me a little unsure. Does anybody who knows about this model know what the pro's and con's are, or think this is a good buy? If anyone could help a newbie out with some feedback it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: I need some advice about possibly buying a wurlitzer 4570
Hello,

I am not personally familiar with the 4570, however if it is a version of the 4500, I believe you would be wise to pick it up. Try posting this in the Home organs section and our resident Wurlitzer man (and 4500 owner) should chime in and tell you all you need to know about it.

Where are you located? If there is a pic with the Wurlitzer 4570 I would like to see it. I don't recall that particualar model just right off hand, but since it is part of the 4500 Series, I think you would be wise to give this organ a chance. One thing you can check it out, and see what it might need as well as the overall looks. They were well built organs with some great sounds. Parts are still available from the Wurlitzer parts place in Rienzi, Miss. The name of the firm is Morelock's. My best to you on this organ.
