• Rodgers 760

I am searching for information on the Rodgers 760 organs, probably produced in the late 80's or early 90's. I believe they may be analog. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Late 80's analog using Rodgers serial keying and control system. A nice-sized 2 manual AGOconsole with LED stop-tab controls.Full-featured double-memory capture system with lighted pistons. Transposer.

This particular model had a decent complement of electronic voices, about as good as Rodgers analog gets. There areadjustments for regulating the chiff, air puff, steady air, chorus effect, etc., on individual voices. With careful voicing it can be quite pipelike in sound. It was also designed to accept several ranks of pipes, 8 or 9, I believe.

The stoplist is standard Rodgers. Principals and flutes at all the usual pitches. A couple of celestes, some solo reeds and a chorus reed. Chimes, harp. All the normal couplers, plus solo and bass couplers.

    Does that help?

Almost, John[:)]. The 760 is a lighted drawknob model. The one I currently own is supposedly one of the last built, with factory MIDI and Walker digital activity generators. It also has the pipe interface for either 4 or 8 ranks.

As you noted, a really nice analog for its size. I have it interfaced with my Yamaha CVP-107; I wish I had a MX-200 for it.

            Hi,

The 760 is also known as the "Concord" model. Was manufactured from 1986 to about 1989. I'm not sure whether the early ones would have had MIDI, but certainly later ones would have had some kind of MIDI implementation.

Basically, this vintage Rodgers, was their best sounding analog ones. They sound better than earlier 80s models such as the 750, 750B, 725B, 800, 810 etc.

Especially nice are the ones where Bob Walker put some of his magic in them. He had extra oscillators, wind sound, wind sag circuits, etc. to make these organs sound better.

Yes, drawknobs. Sorry about the mistake. I was thinking of the 755.

              760 is great organ.
