  • Rodgers 525 audio distortion

My newly acquired (used) Rodgers 525 played great for a while then developed audio distortion in all voices. It appears to get worse as the instrument warms up. All organ tones are accompanied by a "fuzzy, crackling" sound like that of an over-driven amplifier or one with a channel out, or a bad speaker. I looked for intermittent connector contacts but could find none. The speakers are in good shape. The distortion occurs at all volume levels regardless of stops pulled. I suspect the pre-amp but I have no knowledge of the problems of Rodgers Organs. Can anyone shed some light on this?

How are the capacitors on the amps, and main power supply? Are any of them bulging, or leaking?

They have problems on the PC board that the audio is processed on. Capacitor failure where they actually leak onto the copper foil and eats it up.
