• Johannus SA-4 amplifier

    Does anyone here know about this 4 channel amplifier? I have no documentation on it, it has 2 8 pin plugs, one in and one out, not sure if it's just an amp or what. Before I get to tinkering with it thought I'd ask.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

    I believe this unit was designed for a 4 channel external reverb unit. These are low power amplifiers, maybe 30 watts (Johannus watts) each.

      Hello Saudade;

      I am very much an amateur, and new to the forum, thanks to all for having me. Are you referring to the connectors inside the console? I ask that because I have a Johannus Opus 10. Inside the console on the back there are two 8 pin round connectors mounted against the cabinet. On my console the upper one is capped off, but the lower connector is used as an output for 4 channel external speakers. In the configuration I have, the speakers are mounted in what Johannus trademarks as the "SP Facade". The output can be run to separate external speakers if so desired.

      I hope this helps you

      Once again thanks to all
