Quantum,

This organ is a re-labeled Johannus organ. If it truly is a digital organ, it would have been built from around 1991 to 1995. Not the greatest sounding instrument ever built. I don't know about the voiceability of the instrument either. In any case looks to be a first generation digital from Johannus. This organ would have been built in Holland (the Netherlands)

The name Principal comes from the fact that Roy Fawcett from Winchester, Ontario imported organs and sold them under his own name "Principal".

P.S. I am surprised that you are still looking for an organ. What happened to all the others you asked questions about?

      Thanks Arie.

The free Rodgers was grabbed up by some other lucky fellow. The Cantor seems tempting in the short term, but then I don't want to get something which I wound need to get rid of only a couple years down the road. I should really call the seller. Seeing from the postal code it is about an hour drive away from me. Right now I'm bogged up with concerts and various other performances. Although I'm really feeling the need for a practice instrument as I know my weekly church playing could be much improved.

I guess I'm trying to gauge weather to wait for a better instrument to become available, or to go for something now. Tough decision. Any advice on such a matter? Would you wait for the better one, or get something which could at least be put to use at the moment?

          Quantum,

This organ appears to be a re-badged Viscount, and an analog organ to boot. My guess is this thing is from the mid to late 80s. Not impressive sounding, and even worse build quality.

I see the organ is listed in Oshawa, but the phone # is area code (519). This is odd, to say the least.

          Cheers,

          Arie V.
