Good evening, friends,

I've seen it, and I've played it (for a few minutes). A couple of days ago, I learned that Allen has built an Elite organ, which they have named "Opus IV," using Arp Schnitger samples, and they're touring the country with it. So, I spent part of an afternoon with several other folks, listening to a representative of Allen talk about Arp Schnitger organs, about Opus IV, and about the Elite series in general. And (what a treat!), he played one of Bach's trio sonatas (as well as some other pieces), too! After that, he answered questions and invited us to put the organ through its paces.

For a temporary set-up, not a permanent installation, the sound was quite good. For me, one of the weaknesses of electronic organs is they lack the "presence" of pipe organs. Well, I'm not going to say that Opus IV has all the presence of a pipe organ, but it certainly has a lot more of it than I've heard from other electronic organs.

So, if Opus IV comes to your neighborhood, I recommend it.

All the best!
