  • Conn 721 pedalboard question

    Hey all,
I acquired a Conn 721 for free a year ago. When I first moved the pedal board, I noticed a bunch of waxy, dried material on the bottom side of the pedalboard that seemed to absorb the end-travel of the pedals. After having it fall over when it was stood on it's side, a bunch of it crumbled off, and now the end of the pedal's travel is met with a metal "clack" of the pedal hitting what was likely padded by this wax-like substance. Does anyone know what material this was, and or/can this be replaced by another material, such as felt?

I don't know specifically, but it could have been foam. Felt is generally the preferred material as a downstop for pedals.

This is the sort of felt that's often recommended: https://tinyurl.com/ycov4z52
