My Church has just bought a second hand Wyvern B282. There is an electronic hissing noise which appears after the organ has been in use for a while. The noise reduces if any stop (including couplers) is drawn or if the volume is turned DOWN. It comes through on the harpsichord and piano settings as well. The noise also comes through from the line output and so must be before the main internal amplifier (the line output is taken before the main amplifier but after the preamplifier). Two organ engineers have investigated this problem and are struggling to diagnose the cause of this. Does anyone have any ideas please?
